Meet David

Prior to being elected to the Michigan Legislature, I worked under Prosecutor David Gorcyca as an assistant prosecutor for 6 ½ years.  David Gorcyca’s hard work has transformed the Prosecutors Office into the pre-eminent office in the state.  It is unfortunate that David Gorcyca has decided not to seek re-election – his leadership will be missed.  My time in the Prosecutor’s Office left an indelible mark on my life.  I saw up close the talent and dedication of the staff and Assistant Prosecutors that work here in Oakland County.  It is truly a gratifying job to be working with judges and law enforcement everyday to protect the citizens of Oakland County.  Below are some of my plans for the Office and I look forward to talking about this agenda throughout the course of my campaign to become your next Oakland County Prosecutor.

• Continue the tough plea bargaining stance Oakland County is well known for.
• Create a Cyber Crime Unit with a focus on Internet Predators and Identity Theft.
• Increase the Office’s presence in schools to help curb underage drinking.
• Added emphasis on fighting mortgage fraud
• Increased emphasis on reviewing unsolved or “cold” cases.
• Continue to be tough on felonies committed with a firearm.
• Increase penalties on gang related crimes. 
• Fight for more competitive wages for Assistant Prosecutors.
